Gogodoc , an app which allows users to book a doctor to visit their home or place of work in minutes has announced Dr Alex George, famous for appearing on Love Island as it’s first ambassador.
The app, which launched in London in early 2018, is a unique service which has seen thousands of users around London book a GP to their home or place of work conveniently in minutes.
Dr Alex George , an NHS A&E doctor, rose to fame this summer since appearing on hit ITV2 show ‘Love Island’ . A popular face on the show, Dr Alex has become a household name since the latest season came to an end, appearing on ITV’s flagship morning show ‘Good Morning Britain’ as a health editor and contributor. Dr Alex is currently an A&E doctor at the University Hospital Lewisham in South East London and studied medicine at Exeter University.
His new role as Gogodoc’s first ambassador will see him promoting the app and it’s services across his social media network, which has amassed an audience of 1.3 million followers, and also supporting the app’s campaign to ensure that all Londoners have access to quick, efficient GP services and doctors available on hand 24/7. The initiative is aimed to support the NHS, local hospitals and GP surgeries during busy periods, and particularly during winter, ensure that a viable alternative to everyday medical care is available.
On announcing his partnership with Gogodoc, Dr Alex said : “As an A&E doctor myself, I have first hand experience of how busy a London hospital can be, especially during the winter months.
