The same day Boris Johnson tested positive for COVID-19, Matt Hancock has now also tested positive.
The Health Secretary is now at home and self-isolating.
Following the positive test, the Health Secretary tweeted:
“Following medical advice, I was advised to test for #Coronavirus.”
“I‘ve tested positive. Thankfully my symptoms are mild and I’m working from home & self-isolating.”
“It’s vital we follow the advice to protect our NHS & save lives.”
Matt Hancock adds to the list of high-profile public figures who have tested positive for COVID-19.
