22,046 receive first dose of vaccine each hour according to Government statistics

On Monday 11th January the UK Government begun publishing daily data on the number of people receiving COVID-19 vaccinations.

At 7:48PM on 11th January 2,286,572 people had received a first dose of any vaccine, while 388,641 people had been given a second dose.

At 4:00PM on 13th January 2,639,309 had receive the first dose, and 428,232 the second dose.

This makes 352,737 having received the first dose of any vaccine in this time, approximately 22,046 an hour, based on an eight-hour window each day, or 8,016 an hour, when calculating on each hour between the two recorded statistics.

Unlike for hospital patient data, there is currently no option to examine the information by region or NHS trusts – but you can view the overall daily and weekly vaccination information for each of the four nations, divided by first and second dose numbers.
