Over 80% now received first-dose COVID vaccination

The latest statistics from the Gov.UK Coronavirus Dashboard has highlighted 81.6%, 42,964,013 people, in England have received the first dose COVID-19 vaccination.

Published 20 June at 4:00pm, the dashboard notes that 280,241 people are being vaccinated with the first dose each day, and 236,363 with the second dose each day.

Of the total population, 59.5% have now received the first and second vaccination.

In the last seven days, there has been a daily count of 9,284 to test positive for COVID-19, with the rate per 100,000 now reaching 85.1, up 31.1% from the week prior.

For those needing admission to hospital, there have been 1,413 people admitted in the last seen days, a number up 39.6%. 210 of these patients are thought to be needing ventilation support and 1,316 patients are currently in hospital as of Sunday 20 June at 4pm.

There has also been an increase of 1.3% in the number of people testing for COVID-19, with 1,034,415 people being tested each day, which is 6.1million in the past seven days.
