Programme Co-ordinator – Senior Research and Programme Support (Artificial Intelligence and Disruptive Innovation) Kent Surrey Sussex AHSN Ltd

Salary range: £30,000 to £38,000 (includes 11% plussage in lieu of public-sector pension)
Contract: 12 month fixed-term contract, under KSS AHSN terms
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week (Monday to Friday)
Based at: Wentworth House, Crawley Hospital, Crawley, West Sussex; with opportunity to work remotely from other locations (inc. Central London)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Programme Delivery Team for a Programme Co-ordinator. The role provides senior research project and administrative support to the inward investment and disruptive innovation programmes, which generate substantial new revenue streams for the Kent Surrey and Sussex region. The role will also provide direct support to the Deputy Managing Director and team on projects that span all 15 Academic Health Science Networks. The projects will predominantly lie within the digital healthcare and artificial intelligence (AI) space; therefore, having an interest in cutting edge technologies and data science (such as AI, machine learning, digital twins, etc) would be advantageous.

The role would suit a graduate, ideally with a degree qualification in a science or health related subject. Experience, or a proven interest in quality, innovation and technology would also be an advantage.

This is a busy and fast-paced role which requires a proactive, flexible individual with a ‘can do’ attitude. The post holder will be highly organised and have superb written and verbal communication skills. They will exhibit and develop a good understanding of digital technologies, change and improvement methods, in the pursuit of our aim; to spread digital innovation across the country,

This role will incorporate several functions, from; administrative support, such as minute taking and the organisation of meetings; to desk research and writing proposals and reports; to more substantial involvement in projects requiring knowledge of the specialist subject area, stakeholders involved, project context and broader political/cultural landscape.

The post-holder will be the first point of contact for any queries directed to the projects that they work on and will be expected to be able to provide first line response to most queries.

In addition, the post-holder will exhibit highly competent knowledge and experience of various IT platforms, including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, content management systems and social media. Prior experience of using competition portals e.g. Innovate UK would also be an advantage.
