Devon County Council Children’s Social Care goes live with new case management system

Devon County Council has implemented OLM’s ECLIPSE case management system across its children’s services.

The software platform, which went live this week, includes more than 150 workflows to enhance working processes, increase automation of repetitive tasks and increase the efficiency of the team.

The launch represents a positive step forward for Devon County Council, who are now using the latest technology to enable new ways of working.  It provides children’s social workers with the opportunity to work from anywhere, anytime; enabling more time to be spent with those in need, and provide appropriate support to maintain high standards of care.

Rob Parkhouse, head of digital transformation at Devon County Council said, “Working with OLM we have led the way in developing a system that meets our service needs.  ECLIPSE is a leap forward in functionality for children’s social work practice in Devon, allowing for quality case recording that supports strength-based practice and enables a more integrated view of what life is like for children, young people and families.”

OLM co-produced the software with Devon County Council, working in collaboration to design the best solution for the Council.  Peter O’Hara, founder and CEO at OLM said, “OLM has been supporting social care with its software for nearly 28 years.  ECLIPSE combines software and services in a manner that is unique; it is also the first cloud native solution for social care, and will support a proactive, effective and collaborative approach to children’s social care at Devon County Council.”
