Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust has appointed Mary Mumviri as its new Chief Nursing Officer.
Mary Mumviri adds extensive experience in mental health and was recently the Executive Director of Nursing, AHPs and Quality at Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust. In April 2021 she joined the Care Quality Commission as National Professional Advisor for mental health nursing.
Mumvuri said of her appointment: “I am thrilled to be joining the trust and look forward to working to improve patient outcomes and ensuring the provision of the highest quality of care for those in our community.”
Mel Coombes MBE, Chief Executive at CWPT, added: “We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Mary to the position of Chief Nursing Officer. Mary has an extensive knowledge of mental health services having worked in a number of mental health and learning disability provider trusts, which makes her a perfect addition to the team.”
“Mary has strong values of fairness, transparency and equality which shape her leadership style. She is passionate about ensuring the provision of the very best care possible through the development of staff capability.”
Mary will join the trust in the early part of 2022.
In other news at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership, earlier in the week the trust announced plans to launch a new Integrated Care Record, in partnership with Coventry City Council, Warwickshire County Council and Coventry and Warwickshire Health and Care Partnership.
Anyone aged 18 or over and registered with a GP practice in Coventry and Warwickshire, Birmingham and Solihull or Herefordshire and Worcestershire will be included in the new care record. The first phase will include GP practice medical records, and information from secondary care, including hospitals, mental health, and community services.
Most recently, the Care Quality Commission rated Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust as “good” after their latest report published in 2018.
