A new local grant scheme is inviting community and voluntary groups across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent to apply for grants of up to £200,000, as part of the transformation of adult and older adult community mental health care across the county.
The grants are available for equipment, training and events to create projects and activities that will give adults a severe mental illness a positive experience.
The scheme is managed by The Community Foundation for Staffordshire on behalf of North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust and Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. It forms part of the Community Mental Health Transformation programme in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trend, which aims to provide adults with severe mental illness with more joined-up, effective care.
“We want creative grant applications from organisations who can support people over the age of 18 with severe mental illness,” said Steve Adams, Chief Executive of The Community Foundation. He added that the scheme is looking for “dynamic ideas to make a difference.”
