North West London ICS open for funding applications for winter outreach

North West London Integrated Care System (NWL ICS) is inviting local community organisations to apply for funding to provide community outreach programmes for residents.

NWL ICS explained that “trusted community organisations are powerful and effective means of informing and building understanding”, and that with that ethos in mind they began to explore options for groups within the local NWL boroughs, to assist with outreach work during the winter.

It wants to focus on three main areas for outreach support: vaccinations- flu and Covid boosters, where to go to access the health service, 111 online and on-the-phone pharmacy services, and self-care tools and ideas that can help residents and patients stay healthy during the winter months.

NWL ICS said they want to ‘fully engage’ with all aspects of the local community, but it will give special consideration to certain groups and individuals, such as areas of high deprivation, where health inequalities are more prevalent.

The current funding allocation is £1,000-2,000 per organisation, but the ICS explained it will be considering bids for more funding, up to £5,000, if it covers multiple areas or groups within the local communities.

To assist with the funding selection, the ICS has released a winter brief to detail what the ICS is looking for, which can be found here, and encourages those wishing to apply for the first round of funding to apply by 31 October 2022.
